Sketch that I love

I saw this sketch
over at Stuck on U Sketches  and I really liked it so I thought I’d give it a try.  I’m not disappointed. I love the way it turned out!

I added texture by using some burlap scraps I had in my vertical strips and hemp string for the title.  The combination of colors, textures, and flowers (Cricut cartridge Flower Shoppe) give the layout the versatility I need when I’m not quite sure how I’m going to use the layout. I winged it with the burlap flower and used a leftover bit from one of the Cricut flowers to make the squiggle vine. I'm entering this in another freaking scrappy challenge since all they are asking for is flowers. If you've never visited this site you need to stop by. They have some great inspiration over there.
Close up of the dimensional flowers

I was thinking about using it for a trip my son recently took, but Hubby and I are going to see Peter Yarrow, from the wonderful group Peter, Paul and Mary in concert next week and I thought this might make a great page for some of the photos I’m hoping we get.

If you’ve been following my blog you probably noticed the use of some of the Close to my Heart paper from the Jackson “Workshop on the Go” kit. Believe it or not I still have a few more scraps left over. I may end up using the remnants for a 2nd concert page.
